Before we arrive

For us to work at our best we ask customers to take a few simple measures to make sure they are ready for us. Please ensure all precautions and preventative measures are taken prior to our arrival to protect surrounding areas for any potential occurrences. For example, ground protection if on expensive finishings, finished walls and windows should be covered in case of splashes.

We endeavour to uphold and comply with health and safety regulations. Please ensure all possible measures are taken to provide a safe working environment for our operators, your contractors and the general public.

If you have any queries please contact us for advice.

In order for us to provide you with the best service possible, please follow these guidelines:

Before calling to place your order:

  • Try to establish what type of concrete pump you may require
  • Measure the distance from where the pump will be situated to the furthest point of concrete placement
  • How much concrete will you be pumping?
  • What type of concrete do you require?
  • Inform us of your concrete supplier if you have decided who you are using
  • Would you like us to advise you on a concrete supplier and the most suitable mix?
  • What date and time is the pump required and how many visits are needed?
  • Any special requirements (mud snakes, 3 inch line, skid pans etc)?
  • Do you have suitable washout facilities? – please ask if unsure
  • Please ensure you have ample labour to lay the concrete, we set the pump and pipes up, but do not operate the end hose, or lay the concrete

For a line pump please provide:

  • A bag of cement per 20 metres of pipeline
  • At least a couple of square metres of polythene to place at the back of the pump (to ensure there are no spillages on clean ground when the mixer truck discharges into pump)
  • A suitable wash out facility including a wheelbarrow
  • A clear run for any pipeline
  • Suitable, stable ground for the pump to set up on
  • Please ensure suitable provisions have been made prior to arrival if we will be asked to obstruct any footpaths, driveways or roads
  • Never call the concrete in until the pump has reached your site and the driver has carried out a site inspection

Please note C&G Concrete Pumping are not liable for any costs incurred for concrete arriving on site before the concrete pump arrives.

We may require access to water during the process, as at the end of the pour, the pump operator will need to clean all the concrete from the pump and pipeline on site.

For a boom pump please provide:

  • A hard standing area strong enough to support our concrete pumps
  • At least two bags of cement plus 1 bag per 20 metres of pipeline if extra piping is required
  • A Suitable washout facility including a wheelbarrow
  • At least a couple of metres square of polythene to place at the back of the pump (to ensure there are no spillages on clean ground when the mixer truck discharges into pump)
  • A clear run for any pipeline
  • Please ensure suitable provisions have been made prior to arrival if we will be asked to obstruct any footpaths, driveways or roads
  • If inside a building, we will require internal height measurements to ensure the boom can be safely unfolded
  • Please inform us of any overhead services prior to arrival
  • Never call the concrete in until the pump has reached your site and the driver has carried out a site inspection

Please note C&G Concrete Pumping are not liable for any costs incurred for concrete arriving on site before the concrete pump arrives.

We may require access to water during the process, as at the end of the pour, the pump operator will need to clean all the concrete from the pump and pipeline on site.

Thank you for planning ahead to make sure you get the most from our service.
